So, you're going to be able to put this on the front of your trailer, lock it up, and you can see it's blocking anybody for messing with the front here on this coupler. The ball is actually in there, blocking that space, and you can't get a tool in there to mess with that or even hook it up to a trailer. It's nice and secure when you're not around. more

Hey everybody, Jared, from etrailer today I wanna look at the etrailer coupler lock for this role, fit, lip style coupler. This coupler itself is for ball mounts of two and five 16th. Now this section in here in the middle will actually go down as you unlock it. And as you push it up and I'll actually lock it and this is what holds it in place it is a nice solid aluminum design which is gonna help and do its job. Now this coupler lock is a nice honking piece of aluminum sits right here underneath your coupler. It makes it so that would be thieves couldn't come in and simply put their ball mount on their vehicle and then take your trailer away. more

So I know whenever I have a trailer in storage or maybe even parked out in front of my driveway the security of it is always one of those things that's kinda in the back of my mind, you know what's really gonna prevent someone from backing up to it, hooking up and running off with it. This is kind of a fun way to lock your coupler on your trailer so that nobody can hook up to it and run off with it. It uses this little tri-ball attachment to take up that space in your coupler. And then also it's attached to a lock here to prevent anybody from taking or opening up the latch.The nice thing about it is that obviously you can use it with any kind of coupler that uses either a one and seven eighths inch, two inch or a two and five 16th inch ball. So pretty much any kind of trailer out there that uses a coupler ball system to lock that up and pretty easy to use. more

Blaylock Total-Encasement Coupler Lock Review- Video

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Blaylock total encasement lock for 2-5/16 Bulldog Collar Lock System.Now obviously, if you have to leave your trailer somewhere, you want to keep it secure. Now we can lock the doors at the back and we could even put a wheel stop on there, but somebody could hook up to your trailer and pull it away. Coupler lock is going to prevent anybody from hooking because it's going to completely encase your coupler here, so we're not even going to be able to hook up to a trailer.Now the lock is going to feature a round-style key which is definitely a lot harder to pick. But, we put the key in and we unlock it, for one you can see that the key's not going to come out, which is really nice because you don't have to worry about losing the key if it's in the locked position or unlocked position. It's only going to come out once it's in the locked position. more

The really big rolled lip, 2-5/16" couplers, it doesn't work with. And it doesn't work with 2" surge couplers that have the lever that comes down on top.Outside of that, as you'll see, we've been through a lot of trailers here in the yard and we haven't really found too many exceptions to that. more

Today we're going to take a look at the etrailer.com stainless steel trailer coupler lock with the half inch span. Now this is a nice stainless steel coupler lock for your tab style trailer couplers. This part will include the lock and the two keys and this is a coupler lock that's designed for your trigger style locks that'll have a quarter inch diameter hole. This lock will help prevent the coupler from releasing from your hitch ball while your trailer's in tow, and it'll also help prevent someone from just attaching to an unattended trailer and towing it away.The pin diameter right here is a quarter of an inch, so it is designed to fit quarter inch holes on your coupler. Inside width here is a half an inch, and the overall length of the whole lock itself is right at four and 1/8 inches. It is a nice flush locking design, has the covered key slot here to help prevent corrosion to the lock itself. more

And just to show you how it goes on, take your key, put it in there and turn it a quarter of a turn and you'll notice the pin down here will drop out and then that leaves it open so you can slide it onto the flat lip. more

I happened to pull a coupler here. This fits a two-inch ball and this is what we mean when we say a flat or roll lip coupler. You can see it has the lip all the way around it. more

Today we're going to take a look at the etrailer.com aluminum trailer coupler lock for the flat lip 1-7/8" and 2" ball couplers. This is a nice tamper-resistant, sturdy lock that'll prevent trailer theft by preventing hookup of your coupler to the hitch ball. It fits over a trigger-style coupler, engaging it like a trailer ball does. So would-be thieves can't secure your unhitched trailer to the tow vehicles.The lock will fit over couplers that have like a flat or rolled lip, locking access to the hitch ball opening. Today we're going to take a look at the etrailer.com Trailer Coupler Lock, with the 3 3/8" Span. Now this part will include the lock itself, and the two keys, and this coupler lock is designed for the wide easy latch levers you'll see on some of the A-frame couplers, and the wide latch lever on some of the hydraulic surge break actuators. But it will still also work on some of the standard trigger style couplers that have the 1/4" diameter hole.I am going to show you a couple of the couplers. Here's one of the A-frame couplers I've talked about. Has the very wide easy latch lever right up here you can see. It's pretty wide here, so you do need the span width that's pretty wide. more

This coupler lock is designed for the wide easy latch lever on the A-frame couplers and on the trigger style couplers with the quarter inch diameter holes.Basically I pulled both of them just to show you and we're going to show you how they attach. Here's the easy latch pipe lever that's on the A-frame design couplers. You can see it's a lot wider, so it needs the wider span width there. Then, it'll also work with your standard trigger latch type couplers. more

I just wanted to show you, we're going to also demonstrate how this installs. But what happens with the easy lock couplers on these A-Frame couplers, you can see they're very wide. They have a very wide length there, so you do need a wide span width here to be able to fit in there. more

Now this coupler lock is designed to fit the trigger style couplers that have a 1/2 inch diameter hole and I wanted to show you what one of those would like so I pulled one here. And this is your trigger style latch coupler and the hole right her is a 1/4 inch diameter and that's where your lock would go through. I am going to demonstrate how the lock installs on this in a minute.Now this will help prevent the coupler from releasing from the hitch ball while your trailer's in tow and it'll also help prevent someone from attaching to an unattended trailer and towing it away.
